Originally from Seattle, Washington, Sam’s teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of early musical education. He tailors his approach to meet the diverse interests, needs, and learning styles of his students. This personalized method not only nurtures their musical skills but also fosters a lifelong love for music. Sam
is passionate about inspiring and empowering his students to explore their creativity, whether they are picking up an instrument or voice for the first time or honing their existing skills.
A graduate of Western Washington University, Sam excelled in jazz and funk. During his time there, he made a profound impact on the Bellingham, WA music scene with his band, Foxy Apollo, and as the founder of the all-ages music venue, Bluebird Sounds.
Sam is thrilled to be a part of Foothills Music Academy, where he shares his love for music with aspiring musicians. His goal is to help students discover their unique musical voices and guide them on a transformative journey toward becoming confident, skilled artists.
