Hiromi Ando has been playing piano for over 30 years. She began her studies with private piano teachers in Yokohama, Japan, and later continued her musical education at Santa Monica College, where she studied piano and performed in Master Classes. Hiromi is well-versed in the Baroque works of Johann Sebastian Bach, the Classical period of Mozart and Beethoven, as well as the Romantic repertoire of Schubert, Mendelssohn, and Chopin.

With over 7 years of teaching experience, Hiromi has worked with students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. She is a patient, encouraging, and dedicated teacher who inspires her students to grow in both skill and confidence.

Hiromi’s love of music extends beyond piano. She is an accomplished vocalist and has sung in choirs performing masterworks such as Bach’s B-Minor Mass, Mozart’s Requiem, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. She also enjoys playing recorder with an ensemble that has performed at festivals and senior centers.

In addition to teaching piano, voice, and recorder, Hiromi offers Music Theory instruction and Japanese language lessons, giving students the unique opportunity to explore both music and language under her guidance.
