Andy has been teaching music since 2010 and has experience as a private lesson instructor as well as an elementary music teacher where he has worked in public schools in Maine and California. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from University of New Hampshire, as well as a single subject teaching credential (K-12 music) from the State of California.

Andy is a native New Englander who ventured west in 2015 to seek new adventures (and warmer weather) in Southern California. He has been performing professionally for 20 years in various ensembles, notably those featuring jazz, rock, and funk influences. He has shared the musical stage with Clark Terry, Noel Paul Stookey, Norm Lewis, Sutton Foster and Jodi Benson, among others. Andy is also a seasoned musical theater percussionist and cruise ship musician. His musical experiences have allowed him to travel throughout the US, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean.
